How do I pick a size?
To pick the right size for your pet bed, you mainly want to base it on your pet’s length, sleeping style, and weight, not just breed names.
Here’s a simple way to choose correctly:
1. Measure your pet
- Measure from nose to base of tail (not including the tail).
- Then add 10–20 cm (4–8 inches) for comfort.
That gives you the minimum bed length your pet needs.
2. Check how your pet sleeps
- Curled up sleeper → can go slightly smaller (snug/calming feel)
- Stretched out sleeper → choose a larger size so they can fully extend
3. Use weight as a backup guide
If you don’t want to measure:
- Small: cats / toy breeds / up to ~5–8 kg
- Medium: small–medium dogs ~8–18 kg
- Large: medium–large dogs ~18–35 kg
- XL (if available): 35 kg+
4. When in doubt, size up
For orthopedic beds especially, bigger is usually better because it supports joints and lets them change positions comfortably.
